Posted by administrator on Monday, May 2nd, 2011
We recently ran across an article in the, "East Idaho Home and Garden" magazine. Michhael J. Sheehan has done a great job of publishing information for fire prevention in the home. While mentioned for the home most would apply to business as well.
Over the next few weeks we are going to post some of the information from that article. The source material was the National Fire Protection Association and from http://seniors.tcnet.org/ Then search for fire prevention. Several links will be displayed.
Here's the first set:
- 80% of fires in the United States occuring in the home, result in about 4,000 deaths annually.
- There is a fire related death every 2.25 hours in the United States
- In Canada a fire death occurs every 31 hours on average.
- 50% of home fires deaths in the United States resulting from fires were reported between 10 PM and 6 AM. Interesting to note that only 25% of all fires are reported during the same time.
Check back in a few days for more details on fires. Or pickup a copy of the East Idaho Home & Garden magazine.
